Placement Meet

At the end of each session a placement meet is organized in the department where graduating teacher interns of B.Ed. and B.Ed. Special Education (MR) are interviewed and interact with their future employers. Nearly 25-30 schools come to select teachers for their institutions. An encouraging trend of even having 2 to 3 jobs to choose from has been observed.

The Department of Human Development and Childhood Studies has over the years developed a network with various reputed schools, government and non-government organisations and other research and extension agencies. Every year in the months of June-July, students are helped to link with these organisations based on their interests for the purpose of internship. This provides excellent opportunities to prepare for and understand the professional world through field exposure, hands-on learning and peer networking. Students document their experiences as well as make a presentation at the department which leads to both reflection and consolidation of their work. As a consequence of good performance these organizations have also offered employment to the students, once recent example is SEWA Bharat.

Department of Development Communication and Extension

The department of Development Communication and Extension has valuable linkages with various government, developmental organizations including Non-Government organizations (NGOs) and bilateral organizations, media houses and even corporate organizations. With an endeavour to provide hands-on learning and refining professional skill set, the department facilitates internships for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Every year the post graduate students carry out their summer internships during the month of June-July in different development, media and corporate organisations. Later in the semester the students present their work experience and learning outcomes before the faculty and personnel from these organisations.
