The Department of Human Development and Childhood Studies has over the years developed a network with various reputed schools, government and non-government organisations and other research and extension agencies. Every year in the months of June-July, students are helped to link with these organisations based on their interests for the purpose of internship. This provides excellent opportunities to prepare for and understand the professional world through field exposure, hands-on learning and peer networking. Students document their experiences as well as make a presentation at the department which leads to both reflection and consolidation of their work. As a consequence of good performance these organizations have also offered employment to the students, once recent example is SEWA Bharat.

Post graduate students of the Department of Fabric & Apparel Science get placed in variety of organisations which include export houses, buying houses, Textile museums, Research institutes, Textile manufacturing units, Design houses, Colleges and Universities as merchandisers, designers, research associates, Production managers, Textile conservationist, Fashion Journalist, Image stylist etc.

Department of Resource Management & Design Application

After getting intellectually rich learning environment and hands-on experience post graduate students of department are placed in various organizations like Government, NGOs, social enterprises, research organizations and teaching institutions in India and abroad. Students are working on various important designations such as research associates, Managers, Trainers, Interior designers, product designers, Business Consultants, Environment Consultants, Design Consultants and teachers. Many of them have also established themselves as entrepreneurs in various fields.

Department of Development Communication and Extension

The department of Development Communication and Extension has valuable linkages with various government, developmental organizations including Non-Government organizations (NGOs) and bilateral organizations, media houses and even corporate organizations. With an endeavour to provide hands-on learning and refining professional skill set, the department facilitates internships for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Every year the post graduate students carry out their summer internships during the month of June-July in different development, media and corporate organisations. Later in the semester the students present their work experience and learning outcomes before the faculty and personnel from these organisations.
