Dear Students,

It is my honor to welcome you to Lady Irwin College, a beacon of academic excellence, innovation, and women’s empowerment. As we celebrate our 92nd anniversary, we reflect on our journey of growth, success, and commitment to provide holistic education.

This year’s theme of ‘Harnessing Our Heritage for a Viksit Bharat’ is especially appropriate for our college’s guiding vision of contributing to India’s development and transforming our nation into an equitable knowledge society by providing state-of-the-art education rooted in Indian ethos. As diverse forces cause flux in our homes, communities, and lives, Home Science education remains committed to finding new synergies between the past and the present; the old and the new; between continuity and change.

At Lady Irwin College, we nurture well-rounded individuals who are academically strong, socially responsible, and culturally rooted. Our outreach programmes, community engagement, and empowerment initiatives, especially for women and marginalized community groups, demonstrate our commitment to social responsibility. The NEP 4-year Undergraduate curriculum framework has enabled students to make choices from a range of interdisciplinary electives offered by the college. Students hence are finding new opportunities to expand their knowledge, define their learning trajectories, and develop appropriate skills in alignment with the demands of a rapidly changing job market.

We are proud that our multifarious efforts have earned us prestigious recognition, including an A+ rating from NAAC and an all-India ranking of 16th among colleges in India by NIRF.

As we enter our 93rd year, we pay tribute to our founders, faculty, non-teaching staff, and students who have collectively shaped the legacy of the college. We remain committed to upholding our values of academic excellence, social responsibility, and sustainable development.
