6.3.5 – Welfare schemes for

TEACHING

The college through its various initiatives facilitates the teaching staff. The Staff Council constituted Grievance Committee looks after the grievances/ complaints (Promotion related, recruitment related, Arrears and money matter) of the teachers, it also has 2 college teachers who are part of the G.B. as members. The college also has a mandated ICC ….The College is also bound within Right to Information Act and has constituted the office of the Public Information Officer to act promptly on RTI applications. Study leave is granted for the pursuit of higher education, doctorates, for undertaking research attached to fellowships and faculty members have the facility to move to other research institutions and universities on lien. Library of the college and internet facilities are the best that the University system allows for. In- campus bank (Canara Bank).Medical Reimbursement and direct hospital payment facility and all provisions approved by University of Delhi/UGC. Faculty appointments prior to 2004 are eligible for pension benefits while post 2004 appointments are covered under NPS; GPF, gratuity, leave encashment; LTC and home town, Festival advance house building loans and child education fund as per GOI availed. The college has a Ward Quota for admissions of eligible wards of employees. Residential Quarters (8), Crèche, day care and nursery school within the college premises is available for all employees

NON- TEACHING

The college through its various initiatives facilitates the Non-teaching staff. The Staff Council constituted Grievance Committee, which also has 2 elected non teaching staff members, looks after the grievances (Promotion related, recruitment related, Arrears and money matter) of non-teaching staff. The college also has a mandated ICC ….The College is also bound within Right to Information Act and has constituted the office of the Public Information Officer to act promptly on RTI applications. Medical Reimbursement and direct hospital payment facility and all provisions approved by University of Delhi/UGC. Staff benefit fund and Avtar Singh Bedi fund for Group C and D staff under which they can take loan and which is availed hundred percent.

STUDENTS

The college through its various initiatives supports students – Computer Resource Centre (CRC), Smart Library, Canteen, Anti- Ragging Cell, Anti- Smoking committee, Provision of issuing Laptops on semester basis, In-campus Hostel, Medical Help Desk/Services, Equal Opportunity Cell, Internals Complaints Committee (ICC), SC/ST Cell, Women Development Cell, Placement Cell & Internships, Scholarships & Awards, Mentorship, Students’ Grievance Committee, NCC & NSS, Democratically Elected Students’ Association, Sports and Cultural Societies, Functional and updated college Website, In- campus bank ( Canara Bank). Foreign university recommendations and Indian University Credentials are provided by the college. Foreign students are helped in getting FRRO.
