Dr. Poonam Singh is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Food and Nutrition, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi and also taught in Sri Venkateswara College and Institute of Home Economics. She has many years of experience in teaching and research in Biochemistry. She completed her Ph.D in Biochemistry from J.N.U., M. Sc (Biochemistry), B. Sc from B.H.U. and qualified CSIR-NET and GATE in Life Sciences.

Dr Anu Taneja is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food & Nutrition. She is an alumna of Delhi University. Her areas of interest include Public Health Nutrition, Food Science and Nutrition Program Planning. She has been teaching various papers of nutrition to both undergraduate and postgraduate students for more than 20 years. She is a certified Master Trainer for Bakery & Confectionery by MOFPI.

Dr. Swati Jain is a qualified nutritionist, presently working as an Assistant Professor in Dept of Food and Nutrition, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. Her research and curriculum development interests are diverse and extend into the areas of mechanism based nutrition studies to public nutrition.

Dr. Nidhi Jaiswal has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Food and Nutrition, Lady Irwin College since 2014. She obtained her MSc in Food and Nutrition from University of Allahabad in 2008 and completed her Ph D on the topic “Nutritional and Biochemical studies on Allium species” from the same university in 2014.

Ms. Anjana Kumari has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food and Nutrition for 14 Years. She has guided more than 15 M.Sc. Dissertations and 10 B.Tech. Food Technology projects, and published in reputed journals and books. She has also presented in national conferences. She is a certified Master trainer for “Fruits and Vegetables Processing” and “Bakery and Confectionery Processing” by MoFPI. Her area of research interest lies in the development of value added products from agricultural waste, traditional foods and underutilised millets.

Ravinder Chadha, M.Sc., PhD. is an Associate Professor at the Department of Food and Nutrition, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi. Her doctoral research was on vitamin A deficiency among underprivileged communities residing in Delhi and use of carotene rich food sources for combating the deficiency.
Area of interest: Geriatric nutrition, Nutritional epidemiology of elderly (60 years and above), determinants of functional ability and dependence in elderly, development of resource material for nutrition programs of elderly, capacity building of community level health workers for new born care and infant feeding, nutrition and health communication and research on Maternal and Child Nutrition.
With almost three decades of experience in teaching and research, Dr. Manisha Sabharwal has held the position of Incharge, Department of Food and Nutrition , Lady Irwin College from April, 2018 to April, 2021 and the Administrative Lead , National Centre of Excellence and Advanced Research on Diets (NCEARD) from February 2019 to July 2020, which functioned as the technical support unit to the Maternal health division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare , Government of India for policy, research and program guidance for improving maternal nutrition with a focus on diets.

Dr. Anupa Siddhu, Director, Lady Irwin College and Head, Dept of Home Science, University of Delhi. She is a PhD from AIIMS (Gold Medallist). Under her leadership Lady Irwin College has received NAAC rating of A+ in 2018 and NIRF 2018 National ranking of 12 among colleges of India. She was National Head, Secretariat, Capacity building project – Food and Drug Safety (MOHFW) 2007. Presently she is Chairperson, National Center of Excellence and Advanced Research on Diets and Chairperson, National Center of Women Collectives Led Social Action at Lady Irwin College.
